A little help
with your register.
For questions or trouble, contact [email protected]
Please include your app version, iOS version and the steps that led to the problem. Avoid sending bank numbers or a full register unless needed for your request.
Does it connect to my bank?
No. Balance Forward is your own manual record. Type entries or import a supported CSV, then compare them with your statement.
How do I move to a new phone?
On the old phone, open More → Backups and create a fresh backup. Save a separate copy somewhere you can reach from the new phone. Install Balance Forward, then follow More → Moving to a new phone. Verify your restored balances and entries before removing anything from the old phone.
How do I restore my purchase?
Use the same Apple Account that bought the unlock. Open More → The unlock, and Restore Purchases and choose Restore Purchases. An internet connection may be needed to confirm the purchase with Apple.
Is there a subscription?
No. One account is free. A single optional non-consumable purchase unlocks additional accounts, transfers, recurring entries, check printing and reports. Apple shows your local price before purchase.
Can two people share a register?
This release has no live shared register or automatic sync between devices. Keep one device as your main record. Moving a backup is a transfer of a copy, not ongoing synchronization.
How do I get my data out?
Open More → Export for CSV files. For a complete restorable copy, create a backup in More → Backups. Keep backups separately from the phone.
How do I print checks?
The lifetime unlock enables check writing and printing. In Checks, configure your supported stock and printer alignment. Print an alignment test on ordinary paper before using check stock. Confirm printing requirements with your bank and printer supplier.
Why is my statement not balanced?
Check statement dates and opening/closing amounts, then compare entries one by one. Watch for missing entries, duplicate entries and transposed digits. Use the reconciliation hints to investigate a difference; they do not replace checking your statement.
